App Development uses essential cookies required to operate consent preferences and basic site functions. Optional analytics cookies load only if you Accept on the cookie banner. Rejecting optional cookies does not block browsing, reading Field Notes, or submitting the contact form.

If analytics are not enabled on a given environment, the Google cookies above simply will not appear. Essential consent storage still applies.
Managing cookies
Use the Accept or Reject buttons on our cookie banner on your first visit. You can clear site data in your browser settings to reset the choice and see the banner again. Browser controls also let you block third-party cookies or delete existing cookies.

Optional analytics providers may set their own cookies when consented. Those providers process data under their own policies. See also our Privacy Policy for how personal data is handled.
Impact of disabling cookies
Blocking essential storage may cause the cookie banner to reappear frequently. Blocking analytics does not remove access to audits information, rates, or contact forms. Some browsers’ strict tracking protections may similarly limit measurement without affecting core pages.
