Financial checks that happen on the shop floor

We visit retail locations across Hong Kong to count floats, reconcile tills, and trace stock variances before they harden into unexplained loss.

Retail shop floor during a financial check

From closing time to a clear store report

Our field auditors work around trading hours, usually after the last sale or before the morning open, so the till story matches what managers see on the floor.

  1. Brief the store We confirm which outlets, which cash points, and whether inventory sampling is in scope.
  2. Arrive and count Floats, till drawers, safe contents, and selected stock lines are checked against your records.
  3. Hand back findings You receive a plain-language store report with variances, control gaps, and suggested follow-ups.

What store managers remember

Comments from recent retail financial checks — the awkward finds as well as the clean visits.

They caught a float that had been short for weeks because night staff were topping up from the safe without logging it. The visit felt thorough without freezing the floor.

— Mei Ling Chan, area manager, beauty chain

We asked for a Causeway Bay check during Chinese New Year week. Scheduling was tight, and one till still needed a second pass the next morning, but the report was usable the same day.

— David Ho, operations lead, footwear retailer

Inventory sampling showed our warehouse transfers were booked late, which made the boutique look overstocked. Not dramatic, but it stopped us blaming the shop team.

— Priya Sethi, finance controller, apparel brand
